Product Description
With the introduction of the LC52LE700UN, Sharp combines its legendary AQUOS LCD panel technology with a newly developed, proprietary Full Array LED backlight system to create picture quality that is second to none. The LC52LE700UN illustrates Sharp’s LCD technology leadership while also demonstrating its LED engineering advantages. Sharp’s Ultra Brilliant LED system illuminates the TV to extremely high brightness and contrast levels and enables significant environmental benefits such as longer life expectancy, no heavy metals and lower power consumption. At the same time, the new XGen LCD Panel utilizes an ingeniously devised pixel design that permits more light to pass through even while minimizing light leakage, with the result being the deepest black levels that AQUOS has ever achieved. Overall, the LC52LE700UN shows that with Sharp, it’s not just LED… it’s AQUOS LED.

  1. There cannot be a better LED TV than this.

And that also at this price.

The best picture, but like all LED’s sound is average.

    Most satisfied.

  2. Unfortunaly I am not very “tech” savy… matter of fact I dont watch much TV… My previous TV was still a “council TV” that works great but with the new home and Great Room the “old Council” just was to small of a picture to see across the room. I just finished watching the Series “WWII in HD” on the History Channel and the view was awesome (not the content of the movie this was a Saddening Experince for the whole World with them amount of lives that were lost, but a needed Event for the Freedoms we still have in this Country today)

  3. This TV is not the most expensive, but it is the best LED TV on the market. Make sure you turn the backlight brightness up when you get it home. I was a little worried, until I set it up properly. I have friends with both plasma and lcd tv’s, their TV’s do not stand up. Mine came with a free blueray player, wow!!!!! The Samsung LED was next to this TV in the store, I don’t see what the extra money was for. The sound is great for a flat panel. Blue ray movies and PS3 games are sick!

  4. I am very happy with the LC52LE700UN, except for it’s ability to pass through sound.

The picture quality is great, and setup was very simple.

My one gripe is that the TV is unable to process anything beyond stereo sound. Given it’s optical out, I had expected it to at least pass through 5.1

Given that it only has two speakers I had no expectations of great sound out of the unit itself, it’s main purpose is to show video, and it excels at that. But I was under the false belief that it could pass 5.1 (or 7.1 or anything besides stereo) downstream to the sound system.

The end result is that I have to manually switch between inputs on the stereo whenever I switch inputs on the TV, and I was hoping that the TV could have done this switching itself.

I’m still happy with my purchase, I just wish that this limitation was made clear before I bought it.

  5. For the money this is the best LED back lit around! The sound is ok nothing out of the ordinary but it makes up for it in picture quality. The HD programing from Time Warner cable has never looked better. If your thinking of a LED backlit take a look at this Sharp model you wont be disappointed.
